Which bonus is bigger?

Simplii's is $100 larger ($350 vs $250). Tangerine pays sooner in principle, since it needs 2 months of payroll instead of 4 months of deposits, but each bank sets its own payout timing, so check the terms.

Which is easier to qualify for?

The key difference is the deposit. Tangerine asks for your full payroll, which means changing where your whole paycheque goes. Simplii asks for recurring direct deposits totalling $100+ a month, which is a lower bar on paper. Read Simplii's terms to confirm which deposit types count for you.

Which deadline matters more?

Tangerine's is much closer. Your client number has to be created by Oct 31, 2026. Simplii's runs until Jan 31, 2027, so there is less rush.

Can you get both?

They are separate banks, so the offers do not appear to exclude each other. The practical problem is Tangerine's full-payroll rule: if your whole paycheque goes to Tangerine, you would need a different recurring deposit for Simplii. If you only have one paycheque, think through the order before you start.

Bottom line

If you can switch your full payroll before the end of October, Tangerine's $250 is the sooner deadline to act on. If you want the larger bonus with more time and a smaller monthly deposit, Simplii's $350 is the bigger number. For bigger bonuses on fee-based accounts, see which bank account bonus fits you.
